Your Typical Responsibilities:

  • Key contributor to the pharmacology team, with broad responsibility to identify and characterize drug candidates in our pipeline
  • Duties include planning, management and analysis of in vivo PK and pharmacology studies at CROs.
  • Design of tumor organoid pharmacology studies to test therapeutic compounds for antitumor activities in collaboration with academic collaborators or CROs
  • Collaborate on multiple projects and work closely with scientists from cross-functional disciplines to design studies and meet project deliverables in a timely manner
  • Contribute to scientific manuscripts, patent applications, and regulatory documents
  • Organize and present summaries of results and ideas at internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain a working understanding of projects and relevant literature to conduct experimental work to support team goals
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of advancements in the field and new laboratory techniques and technologies
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized experimental records

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD with 3+ years, or BS or MS with 5+ years relevant industry experience
  • A strong background in immunology, tumor immunology and T cell biology
  • Expertise to design and execute in vitro assays to support evaluation of therapeutics
  • Expertise using biologics in preclinical in vivo oncology models, specifically immune reconstituted models, including design of xenograft tumor studies, tumor measurements, drug administration, tissue processing and data analysis
  • Experience with PK/PD studies and a working understanding of the tumor microenvironment in xenograft tumor models.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacodynamic analysis of tumors and immunohistochemistry
  • Experience in the phenotypic and functional characterization of immune cell populations in tumors and other organs.
  • Ability to function independently, as well as work closely in cross-functional teams to support multiple pre-clinical stage programs
  • Ability to clearly and efficiently document, communicate and present complex data sets
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-based work environment, and manage competing priorities or projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with testing cell therapies in vivo and/or monitoring primate studies desirable
  • Experience with analytical techniques including multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA, cytotoxicity and proliferation assays
  • Experience with Asana and Benchling for project tracking/management
  • Experience with MSD and related platforms
