Associate Scientist/Scientist – Translational Immunology / Target Validation

3T Biosciences is solving a major bottleneck in the field of immunotherapy – identifying novel targets that can be used to generate therapies to treat cancer in broad patient populations. We are developing transformative T cell receptor therapies for cancer and other immune-related diseases. The target validation team at 3T develops and uses cutting-edge assays to assess the best novel targets to pursue for developing therapeutics.  We also follow through with the functional assessment group to characterize the specificity of novel binders to these targets.  We welcome individuals who are excited by learning new pipelines, who work well cross-platform, and who want to drive innovation and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform various assays to interrogate TCR and binder specificity, including cocultures, ELISA, ELISPOT, T-cell dependent killing assays and luciferase activation assays
  • Cell culture: maintain immortal and tumor cell lines and culture primary human cells as needed to perform assays
  • Gene engineering: perform transfections and transductions with novel TCRs and with targets of interest
  • Ensure the validity and the reliability of data at all times
  • Assist with the analysis and integration of data
  • Communicate results verbally and in written
  • Work in a matrixed team environment, routinely collaborate and effectively communicate with Discovery groups

Required Qualifications:

  • Master degree in a biology-related field with a college course level understanding of immunology
  • 5+ years of relevant drug development industry experience
  • Mammalian cell culture experience, experience setting up cocultures
  • Experienced with immune functional assays and flow cytometry
  • Excellent written and verbal skills communicating research results, goals, progress and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and communicate effectively and efficiently with others, both in your team and cross-platform

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Molecular biology experience (PCR, construct generation, ligations, sequencing)
  • Experience using Benchling
  • Lab management/ordering experience

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 USD to $125,000 USD. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for annual performance bonus, benefits, paid time off and participation in company stock options.
