Your Typical Responsibilities:

  • Expertise to design, optimize and execute in vitro assays using various platofrms to support evaluation of therapeutics.
  • Conduct sample analysis as needed to support research and preclinical studies
  • Review CRO developed bioanalytical methods and procedures for method qualifications, validations, study reports, reagent preparation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Manage assay development and validation of various bioanalytical assays for preclinical and clinical sample testing at CRO; manage CRO timelines, priorities, and approaches
  • Assist with building an electronic document repository that holds all relevant information related to bioanalytical support used for nonclinical and clinical studies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of experimental designs, assay development, experimental results, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Organize and present summaries of results and ideas at internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of advancements in the field and new bioanalytical techniques; as well as FDA regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD with 3+ years, or BS or MS with 5+ years relevant industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in cell culture and cell-based assays, and various plate-based assay platforms (MSD, Luminex, etc.) with an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of different platforms
  • Proven experience working with emerging experimental technologies/platforms, developing novel methods and data analysis routines
  • Strong scientific, organizational, analytical and data analysis, and documentation skills
  • Ability to function independently, as well as work closely in cross-functional teams to support multiple pre-clinical stage programs
  • Ability to clearly and efficiently document, communicate and present complex data sets
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-based work environment, and manage competing priorities or projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with generation of critical bioanalytical reagents (Sulfo-tag, Biotin, FITC, Alexa Fluor)
  • Experience working with mouse, NHP and human tissue/ plasma samples.
  • Experience with GxP compliance requirements and FDA regulatory guidelines related to bioanalytical support of biologics
  • Experience with authoring and reviewing regulatory documents
  • Hands-on experience of the drug development process from research through clinical development
